Swiss franc is the official currency of Switzerland and Lichtenstein. It is subdivided into 100 centimes. The international currency code of the franc is CHF.

The first Swiss franc excised in the period 1798–1803.

The Swiss franc takes the fifth place in the currency trade volume.

Banknotes have nominal values of 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and1000 francs.

Coins are in denominations of 5, 10 and 20 centimes, a half,1, 2 and 5 francs.
